Measure the complete shelf
Confirm full width, height, depth and projection from the wall. The selected size may refer to the longest exterior dimension and not the usable platform. Measure the flat display surface separately and allow clearance for doors, furniture and nearby objects. Product photographs show styling and should not be treated as an exact scale reference.
Plan mounting and load
A 3D printed shelf must be attached to a suitable wall using fixings chosen for the substrate and expected total load. Mounting hardware may not be included. The safe load depends on shelf geometry, size, material, fixing type, wall construction and how far the object sits from the wall. Test the empty installation first, add weight gradually and inspect it periodically. Do not position a loaded shelf above a bed, seating area or another location where a falling object could cause injury.
Plants, candles and moisture
When using a shelf with a plant pot, include the weight of the pot, soil and retained water. Protect the shelf and wall from moisture and remove the plant for watering when necessary. Use only LED candles unless the individual product explicitly permits another option. Keep PLA products away from open flame and high heat.
3D printed finish and care
Fine layer lines and small surface variations are normal for many 3D printed products. Colour can vary slightly because of screen settings, lighting and filament batches. Clean by the method stated on the product page and avoid excessive heat, prolonged direct sun and unapproved outdoor exposure.
Frequently asked questions
How much weight can the shelf hold?
There is no universal load value. Follow the product-specific guidance and account for the wall, fixings, shelf size and weight distribution.
Is mounting hardware included?
Included parts vary. Check the individual listing and select fixings for the actual wall construction.
Can I request another size or colour?
Available options depend on the model. Contact Decords before production when the required option is not listed.
