Do not assume that every 3D printed vessel is watertight, food-safe, dishwasher-safe or suitable for direct planting. Review whether the product includes a drainage opening, drip tray, liner or removable inner pot. When the listing does not confirm direct use with soil and water, use a protected inner container and remove it for watering. Keep moisture away from unprotected furniture and wall surfaces.

Measure the complete product

The selected size can refer to the longest exterior dimension rather than the planting opening or internal volume. Confirm complete width, height and depth, the usable opening, internal space and base dimensions. For wall-mounted designs, also check projection from the wall and clearance around nearby furniture, doors and other decor.

Plan wall mounting and loaded weight

A plant, growing medium and retained water can weigh considerably more than an empty planter. Use only the mounting method stated for the product and select fixings for the wall construction and expected loaded weight. Mounting hardware may not be included. Test the empty installation first and inspect it periodically. Avoid placement above beds, seating areas or other locations where a falling object could cause injury.

3D printed material and care

These products are manufactured layer by layer. Fine layer lines and small surface variations can be normal characteristics of 3D printing. Colour, finish, heat response and moisture limitations depend on the exact material. Unless the product explicitly states otherwise, treat it as indoor decor and keep it away from open flame, sustained heat, prolonged direct sunlight and unapproved outdoor exposure.
